Dinner and Dessert Day 4

Together, we'd seen all the many expansive spaces San Diego still hasn't filled. Giant oceans, giant deserts, giant mountains. All the remained was a giant margarita coupled with a giant burrito from some of the finest Mexican food Old Town could foster. Chug! Chug! Chug!

Greetings from California, version 4.

The only possible ending to an extraordinary night was to have the appropriate desserts. April picked out this chocolate slab of decadence from a kennel of pedigree cakes and pies. This one, the one in the window that cried out to her, with edible petals and gold foil, made a surprise appearance the next day as leftovers from the rich and famous. Chug! Chug! Chug!

This wasn't the last day of the trip, but it was the last photo I took. She was a pretty good sport about exploring north county while I tended business in Carlsbad, and that night we went to Del Mar for fancy seafood by the sea. I'm definitely glad she came out, and hopefully will make it back again soon! The real question now is when the hell Candice is going to get off her bum and see where the sun goes after Ohio...

back.
